Important Notice: HSBC Payments Disruption

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) has exited the National Payment System, effective 20 February 2026.

As a result, any payment instructions directed to HSBC are no longer being processed and will be rejected by the banking system. In line with this, Services SETA is unable to process payments to any HSBC bank accounts.

HSBC will not be held liable for any transactions submitted after the effective date that are unsuccessful, reversed, or delayed.

All affected stakeholders are required to provide alternative banking details to Services SETA to ensure that payments are processed to active accounts without disruption.
